This series presents drawings based on a selection of documents from the Centre des Archives Diplomatiques de Nantes in France. Following an extensive research, the artist selects documents related to the fate of Palestine such as petitions by the population in preparation for the peace conference, letters of negotiations between the French authorities and King Faisal as well as documents about the delimitation of borders, leading to the creation of Greater Lebanon. While questioning historical processes, the artist reinvents new forms, highlighting important aspects of the documents and taking the freedom to drift away from the manuscript through the use of abstract and figurative drawing.
